Who We Are
A Commitment to Quality, Innovation, and Sustainability
Every great business starts with a simple idea. Ours was this: Customers deserve plastic packaging solutions that are high-quality, innovative, and sustainable.
Founded in 1990 in Batu Pahat, Johor, BP Plastics was built on the belief that great products lead to lasting partnerships. Our name — BP, short for Batu Pahat — is a constant reminder of our roots and the values we stand by.
While the packaging industry has long faced challenges around waste, efficiency, and short-term thinking, we saw an opportunity to lead differently — by focusing on long-term value through quality, innovation, and sustainability.
At BP Plastics, we’re not just making packaging — we’re redefining how it’s produced, used, and repurposed. And we’re doing it without ever compromising on quality.

Innovating for a Better Industry
From our beginnings as a local supplier of polyethylene (PE) bags for garment and textile companies, BP Plastics has grown through a steadfast commitment to innovation and purposeful progress. Over the next decades, we diversified our offerings, venturing into Cast stretch film in 2000, followed by multi-layer co-extrusion Blown film in 2005.
Our listing on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia in 2005 marked a pivotal step forward — not just in scale and capability, but in how we think, operate, and innovate.
We embraced sustainability early, installing solar energy systems and continuously investing in technologies to reduce waste and lower our environmental footprint.
In recent years, we significantly expanded our production capabilities. We commissioned Nano-technology 67-layers Cast stretch film machines and launched innovative ultra-high-performance stretch films. We added advanced blown film machines and expanded into new product category. Then in late 2024, we further elevated our printing and converting capabilities with the installation of a Central Impression Flexographic printing line and new wicketting machines.
Today, we operate from two modern manufacturing facilities in Sri Gading Industrial Estate, Johor, spanning a total built-up area of 360,000 square feet with a monthly production capacity of 8,500 metric tons.
For us, growth isn’t just about adding machinery
— it’s about rethinking how packaging is produced and perceived. That’s why we focus on:
Cutting-edge machinery and automation for precision, efficiency, and consistency
Fully recyclable materials to support a circular economy
Downgauging techniques that reduce material usage while preserving strength and performance
These are not just enhancements
— they are part of our commitment to building a better, smarter, and more sustainable packaging industry.
