BP Plastics results improve

The increase in earnings was due to stronger demand and higher selling prices, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

PETALING JAYA: BP Plastics Holding Bhd’s net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2021 rose 30.47% to RM10.11mil from RM7.75mil previously as revenue jumped 53.46% to RM113.31mil.

The increase in earnings was due to stronger demand and higher selling prices, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

For the nine months ended Sept 30, the group posted a net profit of RM34.56mil compared to RM22.44mil in the corresponding period last year.

Revenue also rose to RM322.32mil from RM231.73mil previously.

“Backed by a strong financial position, the group continues to focus on product innovation, improving on supply chain sources, and upgrading facilities to support capacity expansion,” it said.
